Why it matters: Arista says the quarter was its fastest year-over-year growth since going public, a sign of how spending on networks for large AI clusters is reaching suppliers beyond chipmakers.
Arista Networks, which makes the high-speed switches that connect servers in data centers and AI clusters, reported third-quarter revenue of about $3.66 billion on Tuesday. That is up 58.5% from a year earlier and 20.5% from the second quarter, and above the company's own guidance of $3.3 billion. Arista calls it its highest year-over-year revenue growth since going public.
Profit: Diluted earnings were $1.22 per share under standard accounting rules and $1.20 on a non-GAAP basis, compared with $0.67 and $0.77 a year earlier. Operating margin was 44.9%, or 49.1% on a non-GAAP basis, compared with 42.4% and 48.6% in the third quarter of 2025.
AI networking: During the quarter, Arista announced liquid-cooled Ethernet rack-scale designs for AI systems, including an architecture it calls Etherlink SU-144 that supports up to 144 accelerators per rack. Arista says it built them in partnership with AMD, Arm, Broadcom, d-Matrix, Meta, Microsoft and Qualcomm.
The company's outlook: For the fourth quarter, Arista expects revenue of $3.9 billion to $4.0 billion, a non-GAAP operating margin of 48% to 49% and non-GAAP diluted earnings of $1.26 to $1.30 per share. These are the company's own projections.
